Welcome to the Riverside Middle School Library. My name is Mrs. Klobetanz, or Mrs. K., as some of the students call me. I would like to help you learn about the RMS Library.
We do have a few rules that need to be followed in the Library. First, students need to keep talking to a minimum while here. We have students working on research projects and the noise level can not disrupt them.
Secondly, students are not permitted to have gum or candy in the Library. There is too much of a potential for vandalizing materials. Gum in books or on chairs can be very destructive.
Thirdly, students are to walk at all times. There are too many sharp edges, as well as a concrete floor, that they can get hurt on if they fall or bump into anyone else.
If the rules are not obeyed, there are consequences employed. First, there will be a warning. Second, the student will remain in study hall for a week. Then they will receive two weeks of remaining in study halls. The next step is an after school hour detention and finally, a trip to the office.
